| Allen Murphy leads the Peachtree Strutters, a dixieland jazz band that began in Atlanta in 1954. Allen asked us to create a jewel case package design for this 2006 recording that reflected the heritage of early Atlanta. We started with a logo for the Strutters and then based our CD case design on an old colorized postcard depicting Atlanta's Peachree Street circa 1910. In addition to what is pictured here the CD featured an extensive insert with biographies of all of the musicians. The project was produced in 2 forms... the first 100 CDs were printed, assembled, distributed, and autographed by the musicians. Then a larger print and distribution run was created for CD ROM 2 GO. |
